Hardy in USDA zones 8-11; tolerates hard low- and mid-desert frost with only leaf drop and thrives in extreme heat and reflected sun.

Care Guide
Very drought tolerant; water every 2 weeks in summer to trigger the flushes of white bloom, then let it dry out, and reduce to monthly or less in winter.
Thin and lightly head back in late winter to keep it dense; avoid formal shearing, which sacrifices the rain-triggered flower flushes on the tips.
No fertilizer needed in desert soils.

Drought-deciduous, it drops leaves in dry spells and after frost, then bursts into crepe-white bloom within days of rain or irrigation from spring through fall.
